The Sacred Art of Jewelry

Very few jewelry artist can truly capture the essence of the sacred art of jewelry.

Julie Merrill, owner of JL Merrill Metalworks, however is one of the rare, genuine and pure artists that practice this sacred art as a ceremony and ritual in her life. Her work has come out of years of spiritual self-development and internal healing and growth of self awareness and planetary consciousness in her life.

She has travelled to Africa 4 times in her life and has immersed herself in their tribal, more primitive cultures that believe in the sanctity of community, spirituality and the preservation of our beautiful planet.

Julie has also practiced in spritual circles with Lakota Native Americans, as well as tribal Afro-Brazilian cultures. With a diverse range of spirituality, the openness and beauty that she has experienced flows through to her art and her work as a jewelry artist.

The medium used at JL Merrill Metalworks is mixed metals. With a variety of brass, copper, steel, and silver, she produces an eclectic and elegant mix of earrings, necklaces, belt buckles, bracelets, as well as furniture and sculptural pieces.
